News about Airport Park

1. The Board has applied for three grants (no guarantee to acquire)

1. complete paving Ave “S” (runway) and construct median with lights and shrubs as well as oneway traffic & organized parking areas (state gaming grant)

2. new toilet facility for upper area (field “C”} (state block grant)

3. new dugouts for fields “A”, “B”, and “C” and some new fence by field “A” (state DCNR grant)

2. There is a series of new cameras monitoring the Park

1. monitored in police headquarters & in police cars

2. cameras can zoom, rotate 360 degrees and photograph

3. everything is recorded for viewing later if needed

3. Two newly paved basketball courts with new backboards

4. Anticipated sports events for 2010

Park Hours

Summer (April to November)

1. 7:30 to dusk (special hours by permission only)

NOTE- dusk is in effect when Fire Fly lights come on.

Winter (November to April)

1. closed unless otherwise posted

Rules & Park Behavior

PLEASE NOTE --failure to obey the rules may result in arrest or

expulsion from Park and loss of Park privileges.

1. No smoking within Park area

   1. smoking on public streets permitted

2. No dogs allowed within Park area

   1. dogs on leach permitted on public streets

3. No vehicles within Park area

   1. dropping handicapped persons and making deliveries to buildings permitted

   2. official vehicles & equipment permitted

4. No skate boarding, roller skating or bikes within Park Area

   1. skate boarding & roller skating within skating rink permitted

   2. small bike riding in certain areas permitted

5. Vandalism will not be tolerated
